There was a point in time when today's random item would have been a pretty cool thing to have. When computer geeks & families who just bought a home computer for the kids would have eagerly snapped up this piece of Microsoft software.
Today, however, we have Google, the search engine powerhouse that has made most reference materials, including the
Microsoft Bookshelf software, pretty much obsolete. And once you take into consideration that what we have is the 96-97 edition, you realize that it's
completely obsolete. Is there anyone that is out there looking for this software?
Still, if you have a grandma who's still hanging on to her first personal computer (and still hanging out in AOL chatrooms too, we assume) then maybe this would make a nice stocking stuffer this Christmas. Or, if you have an artsy friend that's working on a CD-Rom collage, you could contribute this to their pile of art materials. Maybe donate it to a library, where they can put it in their exhibit on outdated technology...
