Christmas Gift Idea - Board Games Not Everyone Has

If you look at the game shelves and closets in most households, you'll see the same thing: A couple of versions of Monopoly, Scrabble, Yahtzee, Sorry!, a dusy box of Trivial Pursuit that never gets played with, an old deck of UNO cards... everyone has the standard game basics. So this Christmas, when you're thinking about gifts to give a family, why not go for something a bit more unusual?

Here are some of Dealomite's top board games that aren't in every family's game closet! Check out our favorite lesser-known games.

Pit Card Game
Pit is a "Corner the Market" card game. Shout your deal and trade your cards to "corner" the market. Be the first to get all the cards of one commodity, slap the "Corner!" board and you'll win the hand. You'll feel like a trader in the pits of the exchange! Beware of the Bear and take your chances with the Bull with Pit.

Funlglish
Can you get the other players to guess the word Kangaroo? You can't talk or act but you can find, grab and play just the right clues from 120 descriptive tiles as everyone shouts out their guesses. You play living, wild, and tall. Is it a Redwood? A giraffe? A basketball player? Nope. Keep playing tiles like furry, brown and bouncy. Once another player yells out Kangaroo, try a new word before time runs out! That's the funny, noisy, entertaining fun of FUNGLISH!

Chuck It Chicken

There's a ruckus in the hen house! That rascal rooster got in and took over the nest. Can your hens dodge their way back up to the nest to save the chickens. Chuck It Chicken includes nine chicks (playing pieces), one large chicken with egg slide, one egg, two dice, and four board barriers.

Race Around The Clock

Tackle time with confidence with Learning Curve's Race Around The Clock game! This self-checking game features real-life scenarios to help children solve elapsed time problems. Kids will have a blast as they learn about time while racing around the game board to win. Includes 100 story problem cards featuring photography of clock faces, four pawns, spinner, game board  and activity guide.

The Wrong Game

The Wrong Game is the card game where getting it right means getting it wrong! Welcome to the crazy game where being wrong is oh so right! Just answer questions fired at you with either deliberately wrong or right answers. The more answers you get wrong, the more you'll get right!
