Apparently, there is a market for table covers that "offers protection from dampness dust and dirt." We assume this if for the hardcore ping pong players who are training for the Olympics and can't let some dust particles get in the way of their training. Pretty sure the teenagers playing ping-pong in their parents basement don't care about some dust & dirt.
